Throughout the day on Saturday, Scouts BSA units will compete in a multitude of events designed to test their scout skills, teamwork, and communication. There will be different events in the morning and afternoon for troops and patrols. These could include archery, a canoe rescue, first aid, an obstacle course, and more!
Every year, several defense and public service units attend the Camporee as well. These groups include the MA State Police (Dive Team, Helicopter, and Mounted Unit), the USMC, Reps from the U.S.S. Constitution, the HAFB Dog Team, and more.
The Legion Camporee has been around for over 50 years. Each year, the Arthur L. Smith Commander’s trophy is passed to the winning Scouts BSA troop until the next camporee. In 2022, BSA Troop 124 from Westfield made history as the first female troop to take home the trophy. For more camporee history, click here
The Camporee is approaching fast, and we can't wait to see you all there!
